Feature Friday

I am excited to announce this months feature Friday!
Taylor from Little Blonde Book, is a new blogger joining the blogging world.
She is new but knows what she's doing. Taylor is stylish and every outfit post so far is on point!
Girl is a fashionista for sure! Isn't she absolutely stunning!?
Now let's meet Taylor....

Q : Why did you start blogging?
A : Well, since I was a little girl I have been changing my outfits multiple times in one day! As I grew up, I realized that my super cute outfits were almost going to waste. To make a long story short, I enjoy putting together looks and helping others do the same. I thought blogging would be a great way to meet people just like me, and to show my personal style off even if I don't leave the house that day! :)

Q : Describe your style in three words.
A : Eclectic. Classic. Classy.

Q : What do you like to do for fun?
A : I enjoy spending time with my family and my boyfriend. Also, this may be a typical "fashionista" answer but, I really enjoy shopping.. even if I don't buy anything!

Q : Give us your best fashion advice.
A : Be who you are. Don't let anyone make you feel like you can't express your personal style in the way that you want!

Q : Tell us a random fact about you?
A : I am super afraid of the dark! I am the girl that runs like lightning to the bedroom after I turn off the light!

Q : Who inspires your fashion style the most?
A : My style changes from day to day. I find my style inspiration in just about everything! I can't chose just one individual, I would have to say designers like Phillip Lim, Tory Burch, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs and so many more I would be here all day!

Huge thanks to Taylor for participating in this months feature Friday. She is a beauty and such a sweet lady, be sure to follow her and give her some love! Click HERE to check out her blog.

Show me your stripes..

Well hello readers,
I hope you all enjoyed my Nordstrom Rack series. I had such a great time working on that project!
However today we are moving on to transitioning pieces into fall. I love a good maxi especially one that's on with the trends! They are so comfortable and cozy not to mention so versatile. I bought this
maxi dress for the fourth and now I am transitioning it into fall!  Add a stylish denim button up and scarf and I am fall ready. How do you guys like the Prada sunnies I scored at Nordstrom?
What are some of your favorite looks for fall?

Sorry no links for this post.. Most items I have had for a while. If you want still want details of where I purchased you may ask in the comments!

Nordstrom Rack (Part Two)

Hello ladies,
I hope you all enjoyed my previous post on Nordstrom Rack! If you missed out on it please click HERE! I have had such a blast on this project and so thankful for this opportunity! Like I mentioned in my last post, they have an incredible on trend fall selection. They had so much to choose from it was so overwhelming but I was able to style three outfits. One for a girls night out, a Saturday lunch, and a date night with my husband.

Girls Night Out
For girls night out, I wanted to include one of fall fashion’s hottest trends, camo! This camo sweater I chose was so comfortable, and by far one of my favorite picks. I love that these military green pants, they complemented the sweater so well! Trust me, there is no such thing as too much green.. ever. I personally love faux fur for fall and winter, I mean absolutely obsessed. So I added this adorable faux fur vest to soften up the look.

Saturday Lunch

I love Saturdays, especially casual Saturday luncheons! Saturdays are definitely my day to relax. Since I am dressing up all week for work, nothing makes me happier than being casual, comfortable and stylish at the same time! That’s why I picked up these comfortable but on trend tights. What is more comfortable than an adorable oversized sweater?! My favorite things about this sweater is the pleather accent which matches the tights; and the beautiful gems that accessorize the sweater so well. I also added a fun but light necklace to finish the look!

Date Night

Due to my husbands job, he is gone a lot. So when we do get a date night I am happier than a shopaholic in Nordstrom Rack… Naturally I want to look extra good for my husband, so I made sure to spice up my night date look. You know what they say “When in doubt wear black and white”. Black and white is one of my favorite combos to pull. The two colors are beyond chic and oh so classy together. This dress is rather simple but I do love the sparkling lace details. To make it a bit more in season I added the beloved faux fur vest. I also wore this beautiful statement fringe necklace that placed beautifully on the dress to give it the extra pizzazz it needed. I pulled my hair back in a sleek ponytail for a classy touch.

I can not say anything but positive things with my experience at Nordstrom Rack. I can not wait to go back and buy the whole store.. really. I wish I had a budget for that, but don't we all!

Nordstrom Rack (Part one)

Hello ladies,

I had the opportunity to attend the pre-opening of my local Nordstrom Rack, and it was beyond amazing! Shopping plus food and champagne can it get any better? I think not. Seriously, Nordstrom Rack is heaven on earth... The first thing I noticed was that everything was in season and in style. EVERYTHING and I mean everything is so very fashion forward and current with the trends. Some of my favorite things I saw in the store were; the military and camo trend, Prada sunnies, the most darling Burberry rain boots, everything Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Betsy Johnson and oh that Mr. Michael Kors. I was swooning over it all.

Of course fall items were already out, I personally hate the cold but fall fashion makes it a little better. In fact I almost think it makes the cold okay. I must say they had lots of fabulous pieces. So course they have amazing clothing, accessories, shoes and bags... but I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty products. They had all the brands you would find at Sephora and my favorite finds were Urban Decay and Lorac. I honestly could not believe my eyes!

Now, I must share my favorite moment of the night.. I have been eyeing the Prada cat eye sunnies in lace for MONTHS and I mean months, ever since I saw them on a few fab bloggers I follow. But at $245 I would have to pass. Every other week I would come back to Nordstrom.com and see if they were on sale and of course they never were. When I received a $100 gift card from Nordstrom Rack I knew exactly what I was going to buy! Due to some events I couldn't purchase the glasses like planned so I decided to save my gift card till the opening party. Boy am I glad I did! As I walked to sunglasses, I saw them.. the only pair of it's kind.. and the angels were singing and tears almost came out of my eyes. Not even kidding guys really.. I went to check the price.. $89.00 and at that moment there was no doubt my God loves me!

If you like quality items and love name brands but don't want to pay for the name brand price you'll absolutely love Nordstrom Rack.

Stay tuned for part two!

Popping in Pink

And when you add a statement necklace to it I've gone to heaven...  I have been LOVING these Karen Walker inspired sunnies, and wearing them religiously. They were a score of a purchase from Style Lately. Emily from The Sweetest Thing had shared them on her blog and I am so glad I snatched them up. Now that's $8.00 spent well. With that being said, I do want to get the real deal but can't decide between Prada's cat eye sunnies or Karen Walkers Please help me pick!

Instead of opting for sandals like I usually would I paired this outfit with a comfy pair of Urban Outfitters converse look a likes.....

Here is Laura's look, how gorgeous is she!? I am loving her hair so fab! Laura wore her's with strapy sandals with a beautiful floral shirt and added flare with her leopard clutch... Go check out the details on her blog Walking In Memphis In High Heels
